Long-distance move from Atlanta, GA to Madison, CT

Worst Moving/Storage Company (Based in Medley FL)

BEWARE! Worst moving/storage company ever! Don't use them for moving or storage....... 90% of my furniture arrived damaged and my boxes looked like they went through a tumbler. I was missing items/boxes, bins were broken and taped, boxes were smashed and some were even retaped and had other peoples belongings in them. I stored my items, due to a tragic incident in my life and Covid hit a year later. I never thought my life would be in storage for 4 years, but I was told my items were safe and secure. Little did I know they were exposed to all the elements (Even Water Damaged Furniture and Items). My furniture was beautiful and now I'm looking at Thousands of dollars in repairs and thousands of dollars of furniture/items that's can't be repaired or just gone. The movers were rude and so disrespectful, damaging furniture with their box cutters and dolly's, right in front of my face and didn't care. One of the movers was even making me for taking photos of the damage and began running around taking photos of everything. I don't even think they deserve one Star. In the Four years, the company changed their name/sold several times. They were North Star Moving and Storage, Berger Moving and Storage and now Heritage Moving and Storage, I wouldn't refer Megan Berger or this company to anyone, since she is the common denominator. Saying they're an elite moving and storage facility, is laughable. The movers told me it was my fault the furniture and items were so damaged, since I kept them in storage for so long It's my fault for storing my furniture/items and that's why they were so damaged? I was paying for storage, to keep my furniture and belongings safe. Not to have them disrespect my stuff and collect monthly storage payments along the way. This isn't my fault, I was paying for a service to keep my things safe. Instead, I have tons damaged furniture and spent a huge sum of money, for storage. I've moved several times in my life and even had stuff stored before too, but the damage was beyond anything that I've ever seen. In regard to the movers they were beyond rude and one of them even got very aggressive with me, after I asked him to leave the building. It was almost to the point that the police were going to be called. Let's not forget, that the President / Principle / Operations Manager: Megan Berger never notified me of an arrival date. I was notified by the movers, saying they were arriving the next day. That's a normal practice, according to the president of the company. If you are considering Megan Berger or Heritage Moving and Storage, go else where. Make sure to check into the company, since I think they change names so often, to get away from poor review. You'll be much happier in the long run choosing another company, for your moving and storage needs.

The company isn't taking any responsibility, hasn't responded to the Better Business Bureau complaint and I'm in the process of trying to get them to take responsibility for their employees aggressive behaviors and their lack of concern about damaging peoples furniture.

Please avoid doing business with Heritage Moving and Storage and Megan Berger.

Local move from San Antonio, TX to Tyler, TX

Heritage Moving & Storage, San Antonio, TX.

Great company: honest, reliable, and efficient. I've moved with the military at least a dozen times, but the best move I've ever experienced happened after I retired. The owner, Larry came on time to do a truthful in-home estimate, but we ended up paying less when they used less packing materials, and needing less people and trucks for the actual move. The move supervised by Mike was flawless, efficient, and fast; all the movers hustled, and they got done quickly. I would highly recommend this outfit for any moves within Texas; they are based out of San Antonio, TX.

Long-distance move from Charleston, SC to Clearwater, FL

Warning: Don't use this company

Despite multiple discussions with Heritage sales department about our inventory, the truck sent was too small and they did not send another truck, leaving us high and dry on Friday of Mother's Day weekend to find another company. The movers were contracted, not Heritage movers as told they were but rather Cross States Moving. Cross States insisted their truck was large enough (only to get the contract) and refused to call Heritage when it was obvious by 5 pm Friday that it was not! BE WARNED!

And the contract only allows arbitration!!!
